How to Paraglide with Skies ?

Among the incredible things to do in the Chamonix Valley, paragliding is without the one we prefer.
We started paragliding a year ago, after a 5-day training course in Doussard at FLYEO school in Doussard, one of the coolest towns around Lake Annecy. Being able to fly and discover a place from above is pretty cool!
Now as soon as we go on a trip we always bring the sail with us just in case…
Our first flights
We trained in the Ubaye valley region, we have a base in a small resort above Barcelonnette, but also during our travels, in Peru, Reunion Island, and in the Dolomites. We have about 60 flying today!

Flight of the Aiguille du Midi
Paragliding of the Aiguille is a crazy experience…
We took the opportunity of the anticyclone over Chamonix during the last week to make several rotations:
- Takeoff from 3700m altitude, on a flat surface of the Aiguille after descending the stop.
- Landing at Bois du Bouchet in the heart of Chamonix.
The flight lasts about twenty minutes for the least efficient sails, it seems to last quite a long time!

During the first part of the flight, we pass over the skiers who begin their descent of the mythical Vallée Blanche. By the time we get stuck in our stage, we’re already above the Enver Glacier of the shot, skirting the ridges.

When you turn your head to the right, you can see the Vallée Blanche glacier below the Aiguille du midi.
We continue the journey towards the Shark refuge which overlooks the Tacul glacier.

When you turn your head to the right, you can see the Vallée Blanche glacier below the Aiguille du midi. We continue the journey towards the Requin refuge which overlooks the Tacul glacier. We’re starting to distinguish the Montenvers station as our next destination.

After passing the station, we switch to the Chamonix Valley and focus on landing at the Bois du Bouchet or at Le Brévent!
