Discover Taming Giants: an original production that retraces the incredible story of Katie Schide and Germain Grangier, Team On athletes, as they experience their greatest adventure combining mountaineering, hiking and running to link Cervinia in Italy to Chamonix in France. For 7 days, our collective of Filmmaker and photographer has followed two exceptional athletes in their project “Taming Giants”!
The challenge was to follow Germain Grangier and Katie Schide two ultra runners and make a 4 min film about their performance that was never done before: Crossing the “High Road” between Zermatt and Chamonix by running in just 3 days… A challenge of more than 185 kms with 15 000m of positive elevation via the ascent of 2 emblematic peaks above 4000 meters high, the Breithorn and the Mont Blanc.
In terms of filmmaking and footage, the stakes were to be in the right place, at the right time (and especially to be in shape to follow them) and “catching” the most intense moments of their challenge, we went to the top of Europe to immortalize their achievement and transmit the fire and courage that is burning their guts.
